The Substrate Cage™ line of analytical tools enables researches to make real-time measurements of microbial growth and/or enzyme activity in combination with insoluble substrates. The original Substrate Cage™ design was created to measure the rate of bacterial lignocellulose degradation, but has subsequently been expanded to other insoluble bio-polymers.The Substrate Cage™ is easy to use and is compatible with common laboratory equipment, but has the advantage of facilitating rapid measurements with no lag time in data acquisition.
